What to Expect:
Adventure Dives
The course includes five Adventure Dives completed over two days. Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation are the two required dives. You will then complete three additional Adventure Dives selected according to your interests, course availability, local conditions and suitability.
Options may include Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck, Drysuit, Search and Recovery or another appropriate Adventure Dive.
Each completed Adventure Dive may also count towards the corresponding PADI speciality certification.
Knowledge Development
Deepen your understanding of diving theory through self-study using official PADI eLearning materials. Learn about advanced dive planning, dive physics, dive physiology, and specialised diving equipment. Our instructors will provide valuable insights and guidance to ensure you're well-prepared for the underwater challenges ahead.
Hands-On Training
Put your knowledge into practise during the adventure dives, where you'll refine your diving skills and techniques under the supervision of our experienced instructors. From navigating underwater landscapes to exploring sunken wrecks, each dive offers an opportunity to hone your abilities and gain confidence as a diver.
Certification
After completing all five Adventure Dives and meeting the required performance standards, you will earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
The course is designed to build experience, develop your existing skills and introduce you to different types of diving under instructor supervision. It does not represent mastery of advanced diving skills.
Course Prerequisites
Minimum age: 12 years
PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification, or an accepted qualifying certification
Complete the required medical screening before taking part
Divers aged 12–14 who successfully complete the course earn the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
