Product Overview

The Oceanic Photon Air & Pro BCD range combines back-inflate buoyancy with a modular, adjustable harness. Choose your model, fit and size to suit your body shape and the equipment you plan to use.

The Photon Air focuses on travel, using lightweight polymer hardware. The Photon Pro adds stainless steel hardware, a TankTamer cylinder band, larger front weight pockets and increased lift.

Both models are available in men’s and women’s fits.

Photon Air

• Hardware: lightweight techno polymer.

• Cylinder band: techno polymer buckle.

• Front weights: two pockets holding up to 5lb each, approximately 4.5kg combined.

• Rear trim weights: two pockets holding up to 5lb each, approximately 4.5kg combined.

• Men’s lift: XS/SM 25lb; MD/LG and XL/XXL 34lb.

• Women’s lift: 25lb in both sizes.

Photon Pro

• Hardware: 304 stainless steel.

• Cylinder band: stainless steel TankTamer.

• Front weights: two QLR4 pockets holding up to 10lb each, approximately 9.1kg combined.

• Rear trim weights: two pockets holding up to 5lb each, approximately 4.5kg combined.

• Men’s lift: XS/SM 34lb; MD/LG and XL/XXL 42lb.

• Women’s lift: 34lb in both sizes.

Approximate metric lift equivalents are 11.3kg for 25lb, 15.4kg for 34lb and 19.1kg for 42lb.

Compatibility & Options

Both models are designed for a single back-mounted cylinder.

Choose the Photon Air for a compact travel setup, or the Photon Pro when you want its stainless steel hardware, larger front weight pockets and higher lift.

Combined labels such as XS/SM represent one adjustable size.

Use the manufacturer’s measurements below as a starting point:

• XS/SM — both fits: Chest 66–102cm | Waist 71–96.5cm

• MD/LG — both fits: Chest 86–122cm | Waist 81–107cm

• XL/XXL — men’s only: Chest 102–140cm | Waist 96.5–127cm

The men’s and women’s harnesses are shaped differently, even where their measurement ranges overlap. Check the fit with your usual wetsuit or drysuit and consider your cylinder, weighting and lift requirements.
